Stopped in for pizza & ice cream on the last day of the season for this beach establishment. Loved the outdoor eating area and service!
We ate cheese pizza, fried popcorn shrimp dinner and everything was delicious! Service was great and our waitress treated us very well!Their ice cream is also very good. Definitely a repeat for when we make the trip from Pennsylvania again!
This place has a special spot in my heart as we have been going there for ice cream for almost 20 yrs. I've never had their pizza, so I can't attest to that, but the ice cream is very good.

The pizza, subs, chicken tenders are amazing. Was better than the best pizza places in PA. 100% would recommend to anyone that visits OBX.

We ordered pizza from here in July 2024. It was delicious and ready for pick up on time. Cute little pizza place. They were very busy but very quick to help customers.
I’ve been coming here for years because their ice cream is the best around but this time my husband decided to try their pizza. It is THE BEST on the island and worth every single calorie!
Has a smaller American menu but everything on the menu is top notch. No missed with this place. The pizza is incredible, food comes out fast and customer service is great!
The pizza is ok here. But what stood out was how they use really unsustainable materials— plastic utensils, styrofoam, etc. Very old school, and not in a good way.
The pizza was made to perfection! The pizza had just the right amount of sauce with the right amount of cheese and pepperoni. My wife and I are from out of town and were looking for a good pizza joint and they nailed it!
We have been eating pizza here since they opened for business, many years. The other day we stopped in to get a pizza and when the young man brought it out my wife told him that they were putting less topping on it now. He was very rude at this point to my wife. After we finished eating he followed us to our car and told us not to come back there to eat . I hope he is not one of the owners.NOT A FAKE REVIEW. IT HAPPENED TO US. WE CALLED YOU TO REPORT IT. We talked to Haley Miller about our experience that day by phone. We also spent about $90.00 to $120.00 per month when you are open on food. Thank you for your concern, you should just ask the male teenager what he said to us while he followed us to our car we were parking by the outside restrooms.
My husband and I were looking for a good pizza place. We are out of towners so don't know any of the places in the area. We just looked under google maps and restaraunts. It was on the list and so we gave it a try.So glad we did!We got an extra cheese pizza with pineapple and then he got a hot fudge sundae and I had a 1 topping sundae with oreo ice cream and choc chips.The entire meal was delicious and the staff was so friendly. Would def go back again if we come back this way.
Nothing to write home about. Could have been the time of day we went. Food wad good enough being pizza, seemed a little short staffed for a summer Saturday. We don't go to the beach for pizza though.
The pizza was wonderful, and OH, YUM, the ice cream! Perfect way to end our day!
Delicious Pizza, Pepperoni and pineapple! Who knew? The people of the Outer Banks did. This long standing pizzeria and creamery does not fail to deliver on delicious ice cream as well. Banana pudding ice cream. Creamy, not over-sweet, natural flavors, not that artificial B.S. Looking forward to the other flavors and the spectacular looking Banana Split.
The service is horrible. The employees aren't nice at all and disrespectfully ask for tips, and I want to highlight disrespect. The margarita pizza is pretty good but the weed lover pizza could use reduction in vegetables as the pizza is breaking apart.
The pizza was delicious, even late night right before closing! The service could have been better, as the girl at the windows closed it after every interaction, whether you were done talking or not. Overall I would definitely go back.
We ordered 2 pizzas and some wings as take out this place was amazing for the price also was great when we picked it up we was impressed at the location

Yummy yummy pizza. It's the floppy kind, just a classic pizza. Can't go wrong, and then they have an adorable walkup window with friendly employees. Excellent all around.

This is my favorite place to go the day I come down to nags head (I live an hour away) so I make it a point to leave early so I can have lunch here and get some pizza! The staff is friendly and the pizza is great. The cheese is yummy and gooey the way it should be. My husband even says on the way down " our pizza spot again?" And he always make sure he has 2 slices for the next day.. we only coke down a couple times a year and however we love it! (I'm gonna click dine in, however you have to eat outside at any of the tables they provide)
We both got the cheeseburgers and fries. Its pretty good! The burgers are seasoned differently but still pretty good! Just a slightly different burger than usual

We come here every year…especially for the butter pecan ice cream. As always, their food is great! Their butter pecan ice cream is the best I’ve ever had. We had the supreme pizza and it was delicious! I do miss the indoor seating they used to have. The outdoor seating is nice enough, but in the heat of the summer it would be nice to have indoor seating available.
We ordered a shrimp scampi pizza pick up from American Pie at KDH while on a short vacation there last weekend. The pick up was ready at the promised time and it tasted really well. We haven’t had shrimp scampi pizza before this and absolutely loved the idea and the taste. I wanted try the ice creams too, maybe next time.
We ordered a large pepperoni pizza. It was VERY greasy and you couldn't pick the slice up. Had to fold or roll up, to flimsy. We are on vacation and said what a disappointing meal.
the pizza place we were going to go to for lunch was closed, somebody recommended us american pie instead and said it was way better. as soon as we walked into their establishment we knew by the smell it was going to be some of the best pizza we’ve ever had. i’ve never had anything better and i swear on that. if i could rate it higher than 5 stars then i would. 100/10 please come get pizza here. also the ice cream is really good. decent flavor variety, and i swear it literally melts in your mouth.
Our family visited several times there. Great food and folks. Can’t to visit again this summer.
We got there just after opening and Andrea was happy to hook us up with fresh sandwiches and sides. I had the Shrimp Po'boy and fries... it was awesome. Crispy and tender shrimps with a pepper sauce, lettuce and diced tomatoes. Definitely recommend.
What a fantastic beach staple, a takeaway pizza and ice cream shop!! We decided to eat under the wooden canopy with ceiling fans and picnic tables. We got slices of supreme pizza which were both delicious and a side of a scoop of ice cream. The rum raisin was super creamy and not overly sweet. The coffee oreo was fabulous. The weather was beautiful and we could have sat in the big Adirondack chairs and chatted all afternoon. Super friendly service, very clean facility, with a separate bathroom house across the parking lot. We will come back again!!
Over 40 years of Outer Banks ice cream eating experience and this is one of our favorite spots.
We love just grabbing a pizza and running back to our hotel, we don't even order ahead because the staff is so nice and we just like sitting outside waiting for food
pick up ;finally a good place for pizza in the outer banks ???? we’ve made poor decisions last year but this definitely made up for it. had it twice in one week, it was that good. they make the pizza crust garlic seasoned which i prefer. if you like garlic you may not like this pizza, or you can ask them to avoid adding it to the crust.
Eating the same thing twice in one week should be review enough!Margarita pizza and banana pudding ice cream! ????
I forgot to take a picture of it before we started into it but this pizza is amazing. I eat pizza all the time and this is honestly been one of my favorites. The people working were very nice also. I would highly recommend.
Very welcoming staff, place looks very organized! I ordered wings and a cheer wine the kitchen got it out to me very quickly, i opened the box to see steam and extra ranch it looked amazing. After trying one wing, i couldn’t get enough. Everyone needs to go to this place and try their wings at least once in their lifetime!!
I was so pleasantly surprised. This is a lot of food for the cost. So many options. I got a regular size bowl, but it was packed. Tuna and Salmon mixed with their house sauce was perfect.
I worked at an ice cream store for four years - my friends joke about how picky I am about my ice cream. This ice cream is probably the best I've ever had, and reasonably priced for the location. The depth of flavor and creaminess are both top notch. I personally had pistachio and strawberry, my husband got rum raisin and coffee Oreo. The coffee flavor was very strong, so be aware. I am considering going back every day this week to sample every flavor.I also got a slice of the meaty Italian pizza, and it was above average. The sausage had a nice little kick, and the amount of toppings was good. It's simply not as impressive as the ice cream, so by comparison it gets four stars.
We had lunch in the bar & grill area up top, managed to get a table against the windows for great views of the Sound. Even had a show from some people enjoying various water sports. We got fish and fried oyster tacos and a couple of beers, all which were very good. Not a huge beer selection, but some good stuff, local and otherwise. The bar servers were friendly and efficient. As with most places in the area, the trick is to deal with the crowds at peak and near-peak times.
American Pie has good Pizza. We ordered the American Pie: Double Cheese, Pinapple, pepperoni.I would not classify the toppings as double. It is average and we asked and paid an upcharge for additional toppings because the first time we ordered it was pretty skimpy on the Pinapple and pepperoni. (Even after the requested extra and paid upcharge)The reason for 2 stars is the following:Overpriced mozzarella sticks. We got an order to go and it was incredibly disappointing. 5 sticks for almost 8 bucks. I think they need to add to the menu the number of mozzarella sticks per order. I'd never have purchased it had I known. They were also very salty and just not very appealing.It is very pricey and the wait times are a bit ridiculous and long. We ordered twice both times calling ahead and both times the food took 1+ hours for a pizza. We were told different over the phone about length of time and it ended up being twice as long as what they'd told us.Aside from that great pizza and lots of outdoor seating although not the cleanest seating area.
Food was amazing and came out to us fast! Banana pudding ice cream was so good! Definitely recommend a stop here if you're in town!
