Arrived just before 4pm on Saturday (7/16/22). We were seated right away. We ordered our drinks, Coke, Ginger Ale, Hot Green Tea, and Root Beer. All served quickly. The tea was delicious and the pot it was served in was so pretty! The ginger ale wasn’t my favorite, but I drank it.We ordered Spring rolls and Crab Rangoon for appetizers. Both freshly made and delicious.Dinners were Hibachi chicken & shrimp, Hibachi steak and shrimp, Hibachi steak, and a Teriyaki beef dinner. Salad and clear soup were served first. Delicious! All dinners were absolutely scrumptious. I don’t think anyone had anything left on their plates!Service was excellent. They were quick to clean off the empty plates and refill drinks.Prices of dinners were on the high end. Despite the pricey check, Sanya’s is highly recommended!
Absolutely best sushi place in OBX. Great quality sushi, fantastic service and a nice atmosphere. The restaurant is also very clean and spacious. I’d recommend trying the Christmas Roll as well as the Super Star Roll they are amazing!
What a gem of a restaurant! It's easy to call Sanya the tastiest (and friendliest) Japanese and Chinese place around. The two chicken dishes we had were made with plump, high-quality meat. The sauces were thick and sticky in that delicious way that coats the back of your teeth and makes you want a little more. And there's lots of other things to choose from (check out numerous reviews praising the sushi, for example). Best of all, the staff is friendly and welcoming, we had a nice little talk with our server and we only had to wait just long enough to know they weren't rushing our dishes. Just check out number of pictures sent in by their customers and you'll see that this place has truly made a lot of people happy. We were looking for a change of pace from the countless seafood/meat grill places around OBX and Sanya absolutely delivered!
Wonderful! We went for lunch. Lots to choose from - you can do sushi, hibachi or Chinese food. Service was very attentive without being intrusive. We each ordered a half bottle of wine and it was brought to us in some amazing decanters. Nice touch! Definitely recommend!
